Our decision to open the Exchange Cafe in the South Shore area is due mainly to our care for the people of the outstanding South Shore community. South Shore is a predominantly black working-class community near lake Michigan on Chicago’s South Side.

I have had the opportunity to have visited several European cafés including some of the finest on Via Marsala (near the Termini Station in the center of Rome). However, the Exchange Cafe is the place to see or be seen. I frequent this café to enjoy the atmosphere of a real café and to also enjoy their Cappuccino and their delicious Turkey and Swiss Sandwich.
Oh, yes, occasionally I do indulge my non-competitive senses by checking-out the professional looking sisters as they disembark the train from downtown Chicago. At the Exchange Cafe, the fun doesn’t stop off the track. It just moves more slowly! Throughout this outstanding café, you’ll find places to sit and relax, eat, drink, and enjoy free Wi-Fi!
