Exchange-Café’s coffee table books are carefully selected with topics on Africa, African-American, Chicago’s Architecture etc.

Exchange Cafe
The warmness of the café seems to be an extension of its friendly and approachable owner; Mr. Gene Smith. Founded by Gene Smith, Chicago’s Exchange-Cafe coffee is made and roasted with the coffee enthusiast in mind. Exchange-Cafe music selection is low and perfectly balance – interesting but not overpowering. A casual place to spend some time and network or get some work done.
We are living up to the famous coffee slogan “hot, iced, black or with milk, coffee is the life force that makes the world go ’round.”
